Or do you have some experience?Would you like to participate in a week long acting course led by Deafinitely Theatre and create a short play in a week that will be shared with a small audience? Then our course is for actors like you! about This course is led by Paula Garfield MBE, Artistic Director and Founder of Deafinitely Theatre. It'll be taking place at Royal Central School for Speech and Drama in London, on 8th to 12th September 2025. Paula is so keen to share theatre skills and knowledge — such as BSL translation, Visual Vernacular, movements, and acting skills — with emerging and experienced deaf, hard of hearing, CODA, or hearing BSL-using actors to come together for a week-long course of workshops that will end in a play-sharing. This course is open for everyone, regardless of their acting and theatre skills and experience. who can apply You will need to be a native signer, or minimum of BSL Level 3 or equivalent. Whilst the course is primarily aimed at deaf actors, there will be a limited number of places also open to hearing actors with experience of deaf culture and who are BSL Level 3 or equivalent.The cost of the course is only £20 per person! how to apply Applications for this year are closed.
