Sophie Flack

Sophie joined Deafinitely Theatre in 2021 and became Executive Director in 2026, after previously serving as General Manager. Since joining the company, she has played a key role in overseeing operations, fundraising, partnerships and the delivery of Deafinitely’s work on both national and community levels.

Before Deafinitely, Sophie worked at New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich and as Project Producer for the Ramps On The Moon consortium. She began learning British Sign Language in 2017 while working on the first regional tour of The Who’s Tommy, a journey that continues to shape her commitment to equity, inclusion and deaf-led theatre.

Sophie is a fluent BSL user (Level 6) and is passionate about championing work that opens doors for more artists and audiences.
